Can I bring my children?

Sorry but we have a strict ‘no children’ rule at Villa Menaluna for any child under the age of 16. We’re not anti-children, but merely limiting the risk of injury to your little ones, due to the many changing levels of land, steep slopes, low-level stone-clad pool and hard surfaces everywhere. For this reason, we’re preferring to keep the house as an ‘adults-only’ option.

We also do not provide cots, baby carriers or extra/rollaway beds or sofa beds.

Do you accept dogs?

We don’t accept dogs or any pets, sorry. Whilst the garden and land surrounding Villa Menaluna is fenced to stop much of the larger wildlife such as deer and boar entering, it is not 100% secure and we don’t want to have any escaped/lost dogs or injured wildlife.

There are 9 of us - can you provide an extra bed or sofa bed?

Sorry but the maximum allowed at Villa Menaluna is 8 guests. This is a legal limit and we cannot accommodate additional guests. If you arrive with more than 8 guests of any age, we’re sorry but you won’t be allowed to stay and your booking will be cancelled, in line with our cancellation policy.

Can I charge my hybrid/electric car?

We provide a 4KW connection for overnight charging, available at an extra cost. You will also find fast-chargers in most supermarket carparks and village carparks, as well as motorway service stations too. The nearest one to Villa Menaluna is in Piazza D. Alighieri in Calamandrana, a five-minute drive away.

Do you provide pool towels?

Yes. Alongside your bathroom towels, we provide everyone with a pool towel too.

Is there a barbecue we can use?

Yes. You’ll find a Weber gas-powered barbecue ready for your use and its located outside the breakfast room on the terrace.

I need to cancel due to Covid-19 - what happens?

If your country of departure restricts your travel to Villa Menaluna, or if any member of your party tests positive for Covid-19 or has any other health-related matter which means you need to cancel, our cancellation policies will apply.

If the Piedmont regional government restricts your travel to Villa Menaluna, meaning we have to cancel your booking, we will refund you in full or we can move your booking to new dates. If you choose the latter, we will refund 10% of your booking value as a thank-you gesture upon completion of your booking.

We strongly advise you to take out travel insurance that will cover you for any eventualities you are concerned about.

Can you help us book restaurants and vineyard tours?

We’ve prepared an online guide with a host of suggestions of things to do, including good restaurants and wine producers to visit. You’ll be sent a link to access the guide once you’ve booked, and if we can help further in any way, just let us know.
